Lisa Banks
Woodland Reflection and Deer Skull 2,
Oil on Canvas 2022
56 , Chalmers Road
The image is from a series of paintings that explore the setting of a beautiful woodland. This is
juxtaposed by a woman faced with a deer skull in the mirror instead of her own face. This image
leads the viewer to question who she is and what is her relationship with the environment..
Lisa Banks trained as a painter and is a retired art therapist. Presently she works full time from a studio in Cambridgeshire. Her main area of work is painting and drawing using symbols. She explores mark
making both figurative and abstract to create artwork based on environmental issues.
